We bought a brand new car! More than that actually, it’s from the future! It’s a 2007 Honda Fit, and I’m not one to get excited about cars. But I’m excited. I just want to pinch it’s cheeks, I think it is so cute and perfect. I’ve never purchased a new, non-used vehicle, so this is an adventure. We went to Tempe Honda, and they were extremely helpful. The just started getting the Fits last week, and they only had two left. So we couldn’t strong arm them in negotiating much, but we still feel like we are paying a good price for a new car. I bought new car accesories. The only drawback is the CD player, as my old car had a tape player and the adapter for my iPod worked really well. No more iPod in the car, but CDs will be pretty good. Yea, warantees and gas mileage!
It is a good drive so far. You actually sit up high, closer to the SUV people than to the Civic people. That is a little strange to me. But it is shorter in length than my (94) Civic was, but it is pretty roomy inside. And lots of folding down seats, etc. I’ll be a nervous driver again for a little while, but I think my enthusiasm will quell the nervousness.
