My mom and dad got a new dog from a shelter. He’s two and the words my mom uses to describe him, repeatedly and without end are “cute” and “good”. He’s apparently a good schmoozer, too, because my dad seems to like him a little bit, too.
Pet personalilties make all the difference. I was not a cat lover for a long time, but then I met some specific cats and I decided I could no longer say I was not a cat lover. My two cats are very affectionate and playful without being overwhelmingly needy, and I am happy my prejudice against cats has melted away. Here’s to happy rescued pets of all kinds and personalities!
