exactly.

So a graphic designer, two counselors, a mortgage broker, a lawyer and a Marilyn Monroe impersonator walk into a bar…
I don’t know where that joke is going, but that’s what my weekend in Vegas was like. Neda brought together a great mix of people. I’m still wary about the city. It seems to spend a lot of time impersonating other cities rather than creating its own magic from within. And perhaps I’m just not at the right place in my life to appreciate the $12 drinks everywhere. Highlights were:

  1. The roller coaster ride at New York New York. Good, fast and lacking in gravity.
  2. Neda’s cartwheel on the bridge between New York New York and MGM. High form, extra enthusiastic. Five bucks well earned.
  3. General frivolity along the strip.
  4. Finding a sweet hat with flowers on it.
  5. Merilee singing Happy Birthday to Neda as Marilyn Monroe.
  6. The fully committed elderly gentleman dancing to the cover band on Saturday night. That was the real show.
  7. Philosophical discussions over egg white omelettes on Sunday morning.

The ladies were fascinating, laid back and very well groomed. Kudos to Neda for bringing together an eclectic bunch that could be a harmonious group for a weekend.
